Homerville, GA - Savannah, GA - 129.9 miles

By Josh Holton;

Marcelo’s birthday is today! We didn’t find out until the last minute, but we remembered for the day. I woke up feeling sick, and I went to the gas station for food and medicine. When I returned, I helped put up the array to charge, and went back to sleep. When I woke, we were practically ready to go. In spite of a weeklong forecast of rain, we got enough sun to head out. The team stopped at Walmart, to recharge. Valerio got Marcelo some gifts, and we continued driving into the night. Audrey connected us with a wonderful woman in Savannah named Inez Steele. She took us in quite late at night, and even helped us get some laundry started. We had a nice salad with Marcelo for his birthday. After having some wine, Valerio presented Marcelo with some gifts. Marcelo got a bota bag to hold some wine/water, some binoculars, a stuffed duck, and some Georgia peaches! We even changed the word soar to solar on his birthday card! It was due time that we got some rest.
